Eating
disorders affect so many people yet no one talks about them. I wrote his
play to change that. As an actor and writer I experience the empathic
power of theatre and the arts everyday. I wanted to share this with
everyone, especially those who don't associate the arts with positive
social change. readMylips... is an honest portrayal of life with an
eating disorder. Essentially this is my story and I have retold it in
this play to be the first to stop the silence and to encourage others to
follow my lead. The young and inspiring readMylips team are now working
with me and The Butterfly Foundation to realise our dream.
